Fear the Walking Expressionless is an American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series created past Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson for AMC. In March 2021, AMC announced the digital spin-off series Expressionless in the H2o: A Fear the Walking Expressionless Story, which is prepare aboard USSPennsylvania and "tells the story of a submarine coiffure fighting for survival, cut off from the surface world just equally the apocalypse hits, becoming a nuclear-fueled walker-filled decease trap with no way out."[140] The special stars Nick Stahl as Jason Riley and premiered on AMC+ on April 10, 2022.[141]

The kickoff season was released on Blu-ray and DVD on Dec one, 2015.[142] A special edition version of the first season was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 22, 2016, with new bonus features, including deleted scenes, vii featurettes, and audio commentaries by cast and crew, on all six episodes.[143] The second season, featuring sound commentaries, deleted scenes, and diverse behind-the-scene featurettes, was released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 13, 2016.[144] The tertiary season, featuring audio commentaries and deleted scenes, was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March thirteen, 2018.[145] The fourth season, featuring iv sound commentaries, was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 5, 2019.[146]
Lawsuit [edit]
In July 2018, Mel Smith, the creator of the comic book serial Dead Ahead, filed a lawsuit against AMC Studios charging that the second season of Fear the Walking Dead stole thematic elements from Dead Alee, specifically a group of survivors attempting to flee a zombie apocalypse past a boat. The lawsuit too includes David Alpert, who was Smith's amanuensis and who remains a business partner with Robert Kirkman, and who is one of Fearfulness 's executive producers; Smith's lawsuit asserts that Alpert violated his fiduciary duty to protect Smith'southward interests when he began working on Fear. AMC attempted to have the lawsuit dismissed, stating that once 1 stripped out generic elements of the zombie genre, there were no farther similarities between the works. In February 2019, judge Lucy Koh rejected this, believing that it would be necessary to accept a discovery stage and skilful testimony to evaluate AMC's stance.[147]
In March 2019, AMC settled the lawsuit, details remained confidential.[148]
